Bus Explosion in Downtown Shenyang, China: 1 Dead, 42 Injured

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyunjung] A bus exploded in downtown Shenyang, Liaoning Province, China, resulting in 1 death and 42 injuries.

According to the Shenyang Public Security Bureau, at around 5:55 PM on the 12th, a bus operating on Huanghe Dajie in Huanggu District, Shenyang suddenly exploded, causing 1 death and 42 injuries. Among the injured, 2 are in serious condition.

Witnesses reported, "With a loud explosion, the bus windows shattered into pieces, and the windows of vehicles traveling in the opposite lane also broke."

The public security authorities are investigating the exact cause of the accident.
