[Asia Economy Reporter Donghyun Choi] Leisure platform company Yanolja announced on the 10th that it will strengthen ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management through an eco-friendly campaign targeting its partner stores.


Yanolja is launching a water bottle collection campaign in collaboration with the bottled water brand Sparkle to raise eco-friendly awareness among its partner stores and promote sustainable growth. Yanolja distributes campaign notices and stickers encouraging customers to separate plastic waste, and provides Sparkle’s label-free bottled water free of charge to partner stores participating in the campaign. The collected PET bottles will be crushed into eco-friendly recycled chips and reused as recycled fibers.


Through this campaign, Yanolja expects to collect approximately 350,000 PET bottles annually, achieving a reduction of about 20,000 kg of carbon dioxide. It also plans to support partner stores by reducing their bottled water purchase and waste disposal costs and encourage everyday environmental protection practices.


A Yanolja representative said, “Through this campaign with our partner stores, we aim to realize the values of environmental protection and mutual growth simultaneously,” adding, “We will continue to expand partnerships for sustainable industry development and actively practice ESG management.”


Meanwhile, as part of its ESG management, Yanolja is implementing various eco-friendly policies. It encourages employees to practice environmental protection by reducing the use of disposable products and plastics within the company and introducing mobile employee IDs, leading efforts to create an environmentally friendly work environment. It is also participating in various campaigns to raise awareness of the seriousness of climate change.
