[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Cho Hyung-joo] Students of the Department of Accounting and Taxation at Gwangju University (President Kim Hyuk-jong) have once again received nationwide awards given to outstanding talents this year.

According to Gwangju University on the 7th, accounting and taxation students Bae Ki-han (3rd year), Kim Hyun-woo (3rd year), and Choi Da-eun (4th year) received the President's Award from the Korea Productivity Center, which selects and honors top performers in the nationwide ERP Information Manager academic achievement category. Additionally, graduating students Lee Mi-se and Lee Han-saem also received the same award this year.

Gwangju University had the honor of producing awardees for three consecutive years, with five students receiving the same award in both 2020 and 2021.

The Department of Accounting and Taxation at Gwangju University is accelerating talent development by operating a professional and systematic curriculum utilizing artificial intelligence and big data, as well as preparatory classes for certified public accountants and tax accountants.

In particular, the department runs preparatory classes for national and local government accounting and tax officer appointments, actively supporting students in obtaining major-related certifications, which has been well received by the students.

Shin Chun-woo, head of the Department of Accounting and Taxation at Gwangju University, said, "Our department fosters financial experts through customized education programs and facilitates employment connections through socially tailored courses in collaboration with leading domestic ERP companies. As a result, our graduates have consistently achieved employment in accounting firms and companies every year."
