Busan Municipal Citizen Library 'Artificial Intelligence (AI) Book Recommendation Service' User Guide.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Busan Metropolitan Citizen Library will launch an 'Artificial Intelligence (AI) Book Recommendation Service' starting from the 25th to support users in selecting books and to enhance library satisfaction.

The service allows users to input their age group, gender, occupation, interests, psychological state, and more into a kiosk installed in the library's 2nd floor lobby. The AI then analyzes big data to recommend books tailored to the user.

Users wishing to use the service can receive book recommendations suited to them with just a few simple screen touches on the AI book recommendation kiosk.

Information such as a brief summary of the recommended books, ratings, availability for loan, and location details to easily find the recommended books are also provided.

Users who find it difficult to visit the library can also use the service online through the Citizen Library website.

Kim Heung-baek, director of Busan Citizen Library, said, "Through this service, users will be able to enjoy personalized reading experiences," and added, "We will strive harder to provide smarter library services."
