[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] Noh Kyu-duk, Chief Negotiator for Korean Peninsula Peace, held a phone consultation on the 7th with Takehiro Funakoshi, Japan's chief representative for North Korean nuclear issues and Director of the Asia and Oceania Bureau at the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Both sides shared their assessments regarding North Korea's recent ballistic missile launches and agreed to continue efforts to stably manage the situation on the Korean Peninsula and to resume dialogue with North Korea.
