[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Trainee Reporter Hwang Dooyul] Busan Gijang-gun awarded a plaque of appreciation to former National Assembly member Kim Dong-joo on the 30th for his multifaceted efforts toward the development of Gijang-gun.

During his tenure as a National Assembly member, Kim Dong-joo proposed various legislative bills for the residents of the nuclear power plant surrounding areas, including a bill concerning support for areas around power plants, benefiting the citizens of Gijang-gun.

Former Assembly member Kim also contributed to the confirmation of Gijang-gun as a single electoral district by participating in the Gijang-gun Single Electoral District Promotion Committee and filing a constitutional complaint with the Constitutional Court.

Gijang-gun decided to award a plaque of appreciation in the name of the Gijang-gun mayor to former National Assembly member Kim Dong-joo for his dedication and service with patriotism toward the development of the local community, which was presented by Administrative and Autonomy Director No Kyung-gu.

Oh Kyu-seok, mayor of Gijang-gun, said, “We ask for your continued interest and support for the development of Gijang-gun.”
