[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] The Department of Advertising and PR at Dongmyung University is winning awards one after another in internal and external competitions.
They have recorded 10 awards in the past month. The winners are diverse, including individual students, department clubs, and professors without any concentration.
According to Dongmyung University, on November 4th, senior students Seo Min-ju and Park So-yeon won the grand prize, the Busan Mayor's Award, at the Busan Youth Job Hackathon competition.
Senior student Park So-yeon and others received the highest award at the University Union Regional Innovation On-Gi School in Chungju.
Students who participated in the 2021 Korea University Student Advertising Competition also achieved great results. Under the guidance of Professor Lee Yong-jae, one team (Kang Ye-jin, Lee Ye-jin, Kang Ja-hyun) was selected in the regional competition, and two finalist teams (Kim Soo-chang, Kang Jung-woo, Lee Young-bin, Jung Kwang-ho) and the Dalmaji Mill team (Jung Hyun-seok, Lee Ho-jun, Han Ji-yeon) won the Korean Advertising Federation President's Award.
In the 2021 Southeast Region LINC+ Startup Nomad Camp and Idea Competition, student Bae Chang-bin received an excellence award. In the 2021 National University Student Social Venture Contest, students Bae Chang-bin, Ha Ye-eun, Lee Ho-jun, and Lee Soo-jin received the Passion Award.
There were 7 awards in November alone, and the momentum continues into December.
The Advertising and PR Department club Beyond (advisor Professor Koo Ja-hwi) received the 2021 Club of the Year Award and scholarship from the Korea Advertising and Public Relations Association.
Department head Professor Lee Jeong-gi was selected as an outstanding professor for innovative teaching methods and received the President's Award, as well as the Academic Award from the Korean Regional Press Association.
This department, which has top-level faculty including professors from Ogilvy & Mather, Cheil Worldwide, Daehong Planning, LG Ad, and video PD backgrounds, has produced 8 GS SHOP Content Leader scholarship recipients over 3 years. They have also produced numerous external scholarship recipients such as the Humanities 100-Year Scholarship for two consecutive years, Busan City scholarships, and Saemaeul Geumgo scholarships.
Professor Lee Jeong-gi proudly stated, "The consecutive awards are due to the close guidance of the department's faculty, who have top domestic achievements in advertising, PR, media, and video fields, combined with a diverse mentoring system."
