[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] The Personal Information Protection Commission announced on the 21st that it held the 'Personal Information National Inspection Team Performance Report Meeting' at the Government Seoul Office and awarded commendations to outstanding participants.
The National Inspection Team is a 'citizen participation policy model' where citizens directly identify and improve personal information infringement factors in daily life, launched in May this year.
Composed of 30 citizens from various sectors, the National Inspection Team proposed policy improvements through discussions with experts in each field on a total of 62 cases of personal information infringement factors and improvement measures in daily life.
The Personal Information Protection Commission especially awarded the Personal Information Commissioner's Commendation to three team members, Yongwoon Kim, Misook Hong, and Taehee Cho, for their contributions to preventing personal information exposure and leakage through handwritten logs.
Starting next year, the Personal Information Protection Commission plans to secure a budget to support the National Inspection Team's activities and actively promote the improvement and discovery of personal information infringement factors in daily life by applying service design techniques to the team's activities.
