[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] Galleria Department Store Luxury Hall announced on the 14th that it will hold a special exhibition of pop artist John Bergerman from the 17th of this month until January 6th of next year. This year-end special exhibition will showcase and sell over 40 of John Bergerman's paintings and sculptural works.
Known as a master of 'doodle art,' John Bergerman is famous for depicting free-spirited and whimsical characters through his works. He is currently based in New York and actively collaborating with various companies such as Samsung, Coca-Cola, Nike, and Sony.
In this exhibition, John Bergerman presents works created over the past five years under the theme of 'art practice and play,' divided into parts according to the working methods: classic, spray, and oil bar.
The highlight of the exhibition is the piece titled 'Slim.' This latest work by John Bergerman, created using oil bars, vividly expresses the artist's unique free and cheerful touch. Additionally, a variety of works will be displayed, ranging from classic paintings like Zookini, Buttermilk, and Pizza Happy to spray-based pieces. The price range of the artworks is from 1.5 million KRW to 25 million KRW.
Commemorative goods will also be sold. Among John Bergerman's characters, 'GRAVY' and 'CLING' are featured on transparent glass cups, keychains, and two types of postcards, all incorporating the event title 'SUPER HOLIDAY.'
A representative from Galleria Department Store said, "Galleria presents various contents and spaces utilizing world-renowned artworks. In particular, this exhibition will offer a special experience where modern people, living their daily lives, can return to their pure childhood innocence and fill themselves with vibrant energy."
