원본보기 아이콘[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] The Incheon Grand Park Station on Incheon Metro Line 2 is being transformed into a distinctive space.
Namdong-gu, Incheon announced on the 13th that it held the final report meeting for the "Incheon Grand Park Station and Underpass Space Environment Improvement Project Design Service."
This project was promoted to specialize the idle space of Incheon Grand Park Station, providing visitors with attractions and strengthening the connection between the metro and Incheon Grand Park.
The final service results analyzed that the area lacked directional or spatial explanation facilities, signs, and had dark and unsafe spaces left unattended.
Accordingly, key improvement points were identified as creating distinctive landscapes, easy-to-find paths, restoring neglected spaces, and reorganizing light spaces.
First, a distinctive urban image will be implemented with organized colors under the viaduct, and wayfinding guiding the path from the station to the rear gate of Incheon Grand Park was proposed.
Additionally, the nighttime landscape will be reorganized to highlight hidden spaces and improve neglected and abandoned areas so that visitors can find and use them.
The construction is planned to start in February next year and be completed around April.
