The 'Sharing Love Kimchi-making' event, which started in 2008, is a representative love-sharing event jointly hosted every year by KDB and the Seoul Saemaul Association, delivering kimchi made from locally sourced Korean agricultural products such as kimchi cabbage, red pepper powder, and salt to neighbors in the local community.
This year's event was held non-face-to-face due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic. Kimchi made from Korean agricultural products was purchased and delivered with sincerity to 1,200 underprivileged households in 25 districts of Seoul, including 11 KDB-affiliated facilities and elderly living alone in Yeongdeungpo-gu.
Additionally, newly harvested rice from Yangjiri Village in Cheorwon-gun, Gangwon-do, which has a 'One Company One Village' sisterhood relationship with KDB, was also prepared and delivered to affiliated facilities such as Amsa Rehabilitation Center, where children with severe disabilities live.
A KDB official stated, "We will continue to practice neighborly love for sharing hands and a warm world."
