[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] The Changwon Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Gyeongnam will hold the 21st Changwon Economic Research Forum on the theme of "Relocation of Public Institutions to Provinces for the Re-advancement of Changwon's Economy" at 2 p.m. on the 30th in the main conference room of the Changwon Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
According to Changwon Chamber of Commerce on the 22nd, this forum was prepared to share the necessity of the second relocation of public institutions to provinces, which is being discussed for balanced national development, with the local community and to form a consensus, aiming to make it an important stepping stone for the growth and development of Changwon.
The forum will proceed with two keynote presentations and a discussion.
The first presentation, titled "Achievements and Future Directions of Public Institution Relocation," will be given by Kim Jeong-hong, a research fellow at the Korea Institute for Industrial Economics and Trade, and the second, titled "Directions for Relocating Public Institutions Linked to Changwon's Regional Industry," will be presented by Lee Yoon-seok, team leader at the Changwon Industry Promotion Agency.
Following the presentations, an expert panel discussion will be held, chaired by Lee Eun-jin, professor emeritus at Gyeongnam National University and former member of the National Balanced Development Committee, based on the presentation contents.
