[Asia Economy Reporter Ra Young-cheol] Sokcho City, Gangwon Province, announced on the 18th that it will resume health promotion services and general medical consultations at public health centers, which had been suspended or switched to non-face-to-face formats, starting from the 22nd in order to focus on COVID-19 response and vaccination efforts.

The city judged that the number of confirmed cases in the area has been declining due to the high vaccination rate, and since most confirmed cases were contacts of cases from other regions, local infections have stabilized.

In addition, in line with the government's phased plan for returning to normal life, the city decided to resume general services such as medical consultations, issuance of certificates, and health checkups.

Until now, due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the spread of the Delta variant, the city had suspended or shifted public health center general services to non-face-to-face formats since July 26, focusing on preventing the spread of COVID-19 and conducting epidemiological investigations.
