Wanju-gun Urban Regeneration Support Center Operates Bicycle Rental Station in Bongdong-eup

[Wanju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Kim Han-ho] Wanju-gun announced on the 16th that the Urban Regeneration (Field) Support Center is operating a bicycle rental station by forming an operating committee with residents who like bicycles as a pilot project until the end of this month.

The fee is 2,000 KRW for up to 3 hours for a regular bicycle and 3,000 KRW for up to 3 hours for a tandem bicycle, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

For children, protective gear and helmets are also rented out.

In addition, members of the Bicycle World Cooperative personally come out to teach beginners how to ride a bicycle and use it safely.

Kim Nam-gyun, chairman of the Bongdong Urban Regeneration Support Center Bicycle Rental Station Operating Committee, explained, "Since it started last month and is a short pilot operation for two months, promotion is not easy. However, those who visit by word of mouth are very satisfied and say they made good memories at Mangyeong River, which gives us great strength."

The Bongdong Urban Regeneration Bicycle Rental Station Operating Committee plans to evaluate overall conditions such as participant satisfaction and operating hours during the pilot project to decide whether to continue the project in the future.
