Weekend Taxi Collision in Residential Area of Seocho-gu, Seoul... One Pedestrian Dies

[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Byung-don] At around 10:54 a.m. on the 7th, a taxi collided with a passenger car ahead and then struck a pedestrian on a downhill road in a residential area of Bangbae-dong, Seocho-gu, Seoul.

According to the police on the 8th, the pedestrian, Mr. A (75), was seriously injured and transported to the hospital but ultimately passed away. The taxi driver, Mr. B (70), also sustained serious injuries and is receiving treatment at the hospital.

A police official stated, "No signs of the driver's intoxication were found," and added, "We plan to investigate the detailed circumstances of the accident once the driver recovers."
