Elderly Couple in Their 80s Found Dead Together at Home... Low Possibility of Homicide

[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Byung-don] An elderly couple in their 80s was found dead in a house in Geumcheon-gu, Seoul, prompting the police to launch an investigation.

The Geumcheon Police Station in Seoul is conducting an investigation after receiving a report from the couple's son on the 22nd at around 6:50 PM that A (85, male) and B (81, female), who are husband and wife, had died.

According to the police, the son, who lives separately, visited the parents' house after hearing from a caregiver that his parents could not be reached.

The couple was found dead in the master bedroom and the living room, respectively.

The police stated that the on-site investigation found no signs of external intrusion, and the possibility of homicide is considered low. They plan to determine the exact cause of death through an autopsy.
