[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Yuri] Hyundai Department Store announced on the 14th that it will sell the doll 'Heundi Heart Edition' designed with its own character Heundi starting from the 15th.

The 'Heundi Heart Edition' consists of three items: a Heundi doll, a nose work toy that companion dogs can play with, and a squeaky toy that makes sounds when pressed. It will be sold at the appreciation desks of 16 stores nationwide including the Apgujeong Main Store and on the official online mall 'The Hyundai.com', with a sales price of 20,000 won.

This launch of the 'Heundi Heart Edition' is part of the 'Heart for Dog' campaign, a support program for the health care of abandoned dogs conducted in collaboration with Animal Rights Action Kara since 2019. All sales proceeds will be used to improve the environment of abandoned dog care centers. Previously, in 2019, Hyundai Department Store produced the 'Heundi Mood Lamp' and donated 20 million won from its sales proceeds to a vaccination fund for abandoned dogs.

A Hyundai Department Store official said, "We hope this campaign will raise social interest in abandoned dogs even a little," and added, "We plan to continuously introduce ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) related content that creates social value together with customers and circulates positively in society by linking social interests such as eco-friendliness and abandoned dogs."

Meanwhile, Hyundai Department Store is conducting a non-face-to-face eco-friendly activity with companion animals called 'The Hyundai Plogging Heart for Dog' until the 31st to raise social interest in abandoned dogs.
