[Jangseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jo Hangyu] Jeonnam Jangseong County Central Library announced on the 8th that it will hold the event "Scientists' Talent Donation Library Science Lecture, October Sky" at 2 p.m. on the 30th.
Co-hosted by the Korean Library Association and the October Sky Preparation Committee, this event is a talent donation project where scientists visit local areas in person to give science lectures on the last Saturday of October.
The themes of this lecture are "Behavioral Immunity to Avoid Infectious Diseases" and "Architecture and Architects that Shape Urban Landscapes."
The lectures will be given by Professor Gu Hyeongchan of the Human Nature-Technology Evolution Research Institute at Seoul National University and Director Jeong Hyeonjeong of the Urban Environment Education Design Institute.
Participants from upper elementary school students to adults can join, and to prevent the spread of COVID-19, the lectures will be conducted online via the Zoom program.
Applications are open from the 11th to the 21st, and can be submitted through the Jangseong County Library website.
A county official said, "This will be a valuable opportunity for young people to deeply explore the world of science and nurture their dreams," and added, "We ask for much interest and participation."
