[Asia Economy Reporter Ryu Jeong-min] The Blue House clarified that reports claiming it agreed to the formation of a government joint investigation headquarters regarding the Daejang-dong controversy are not true.

A senior Blue House official told reporters on the 7th, "I have seen articles stating that the Blue House agreed to the formation of the joint investigation headquarters, but the parts mentioned in those articles seem to lack basis, and the content is not factual."

The Blue House reaffirmed its existing stance of taking the Daejang-dong controversy seriously. The senior official stated, "(President Moon Jae-in has) made no separate remarks regarding Daejang-dong," and added, "(The Blue House) is taking the opposition party's special prosecutor demands seriously and is monitoring the situation closely."
