[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Lotte Chilsung Beverage held an opening ceremony for its subsidiary-type standard workplace for the disabled, ‘Greenwith,’ on the 1st. The ceremony was attended by Jung Chan-woo, head of Lotte Chilsung Beverage’s ESG division, Greenwith employees, Kim Dae-gyu, director of the Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled Eastern Branch, and other related personnel.

In May, Lotte Chilsung Beverage and the Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled signed an MOU to establish a ‘subsidiary-type standard workplace for the disabled,’ and after about five months of preparation, they opened ‘Greenwith.’

To prepare for the opening of ‘Greenwith,’ Lotte Chilsung Beverage conducted training for workers starting in September. ‘Greenwith’ is responsible for facility management of the cafeteria at Lotte Chilsung Beverage’s headquarters and laundry services at the Gangneung factory.

Going forward, Greenwith plans to expand its business in various ways, such as providing free nail care services to station users by utilizing idle lobby spaces at major railway stations nationwide.

A Lotte Chilsung Beverage official stated, “We will continue to make steady efforts to realize the value of mutual growth by hiring socially vulnerable groups and creating a better working environment.”
