"Leading Ethical Consumption" NS Home Shopping Signs Business Agreement with Gyeonggi-do Corporation

[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] NS Home Shopping announced on the 16th that it signed a business agreement on the 15th at its headquarters in Pangyo, Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do, with Gyeonggi-do Corporation to 'discover social value products and support small and medium-sized enterprises in market development and marketing activation.'


At the business agreement signing ceremony, Jangmok Jo, CEO of NS Home Shopping, and Seokhoon Lee, CEO of Gyeonggi-do Corporation, attended. During the ceremony, NS Home Shopping and Gyeonggi-do Corporation promised to collaborate to support 'discovering social value products and promoting market development and marketing activation for small and medium-sized enterprises in Gyeonggi-do,' leading ethical consumption.


NS Home Shopping and Gyeonggi-do Corporation will continue to cooperate to discover excellent small and medium-sized enterprises and social value products within Gyeonggi-do. Gyeonggi-do Corporation will support marketing activities for small and medium-sized enterprises and social value products in Gyeonggi-do, while NS Home Shopping will assist in the distribution expansion and marketing projects implemented by Gyeonggi-do Corporation. After the agreement, both parties plan to form and operate a working-level council for efficient planning discussions.


Social value products refer to goods or services with social significance created by vulnerable groups such as social economy enterprises, companies for the disabled, production facilities for products made by severely disabled persons, and organizations performing senior citizen job projects. Gyeonggi-do expects to realize social value through increased sales under the joint brand 'ChakChakChak' and will collaborate with NS Home Shopping on online and home shopping market support projects.


Jangmok Jo, CEO of NS Home Shopping, said, "Through this business agreement, NS Home Shopping aims to discover excellent social value products and expand the range of ethical consumption choices for consumers, while supporting small and medium-sized enterprises to strengthen their market competitiveness." Meanwhile, the support target for social value practice companies includes social value product manufacturing companies with headquarters or factories located in Gyeonggi-do, such as social enterprises, cooperatives, village enterprises, self-support enterprises, companies for the disabled, production facilities for products made by severely disabled persons, and organizations performing senior citizen job projects. Selected companies will receive support according to the operation plan of the council formed by NS Home Shopping and Gyeonggi-do Corporation.
