Mokwon University, Early Admission 'Selecting 1,746 Students'... Application Period from 10th to 14th

[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Mokwon University will recruit 1,746 new students through early admission this year.

Mokwon University announced on the 9th that it will accept applications for the '2022 Academic Year Early Admission' from the 10th to the 14th.

The number of early admission recruits is 1,746, accounting for 95.9% of the total recruitment of 1,833 students (within the quota).

This year, the university newly established the General Student Academic Track (380 students) and Regional Talent Academic Track (53 students), which select students based on 100% academic records among the student record academic screening methods.

The General Student Academic Interview Track (38 students), which selects new students based on 60% academic records and 40% interviews, is also included in the new admission tracks.

For the newly established tracks, the student record (academic) grade reflection considers the top 5 subjects and the top 3 career elective subjects, totaling 8 subjects regardless of grade level, allowing applicants to choose the most advantageous subjects themselves for reflection.

In particular, Mokwon University plans to focus on nurturing practical talents by establishing customized departments in fields with increasing demand recently.

The newly established departments include the 'Rescue Major' within the Department of Fire Safety, the 'Game Content Major' and 'Military Public Officer Major' within the Department of Webtoon Animation and Game, among others.

The Rescue Major was newly established to specialize in supporting academic fields related to the 119 Rescue Team, differentiating it from related departments previously established at the university. The Military Public Officer Major was created to train military administrative public officers and enable specialized education in this field.

The Game Content Major combines Mokwon University's strengths in the cultural and artistic specialization field to cultivate experts in game content areas such as game planning, graphics, and programming.

Applications can be submitted through the Internet JinHakApply system, and those accepted through early admission cannot apply for regular admission.
