Gyeongnam Province Reports 25 New COVID-19 Cases ... 1 Additional Death

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] Gyeongsangnam-do announced that as of 1:30 PM on the 1st, 25 new confirmed cases have been reported since 5 PM the previous day.

By region, there are 10 in Changwon, 4 in Goseong, 3 in Gimhae, 3 in Miryang, 2 in Tongyeong, 2 in Sacheon, and 1 in Haman.

Among the confirmed cases in Changwon, 6 tested positive after being tested due to symptom onset and were classified as cases 9986, 9987, 10003~5, and 10009.

Three others tested positive after contact with family, acquaintances, and workplace colleagues of confirmed cases within the province, classified as cases 9996, 10002, and 10010.

The remaining one tested positive after contact with a confirmed case from another region and was classified as case 10000.

The 4 confirmed cases in Goseong tested positive after contact with 2 family members, 1 workplace colleague, and 1 movement contact of confirmed cases within the province, classified as cases 9988~9991.

The 3 confirmed cases in Miryang tested positive as family members of confirmed cases within the province and were classified as cases 9997~9999.

The 2 confirmed cases in Sacheon tested positive after contact with confirmed cases within the province and were classified as cases 9992 and 9993.

The 2 confirmed cases in Tongyeong were contacts of confirmed cases within the province; one tested positive before release from quarantine and was classified as case 9994, and the other tested positive after contact and was classified as case 9995.

The 1 confirmed case in Haman tested positive after being tested due to symptom onset and was classified as case 10001.

Accordingly, the total cumulative confirmed cases in the province increased to 10,007 (818 hospitalized, 9,160 discharged, 29 deceased).
