[Hwasun=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Ji-woon] Jeonnam Hwasun-gun (Governor Gu Chung-gon) announced on the 31st that it will conduct inspections of water supply and sewage facilities in preparation for the Chuseok holiday.
The inspection targets include water intake and purification plants, booster stations, reservoirs, and small-scale water facilities. The plan is to identify and address facility safety inspections and operational status in advance to ensure stable tap water supply without disruption.
From the 1st to the 10th of next month, the county will carry out flushing (cleaning) work on the terminal sections of water supply pipelines that have been installed for a long time and have frequent complaints about turbid water.
To minimize inconveniences such as water outages that may occur during flushing work, the work will be conducted at night when water usage is relatively low, and it will be promoted through village broadcasts in eight myeon including Hwasun-eup.
A county official said, “During the holiday season when water usage surges, we ask residents to participate in water conservation as water saving is necessary,” adding, “To ensure stable tap water supply, we will operate an emergency situation room and promptly handle various daily complaints.”
