[Asia Economy Reporter Jo In-kyung] Galleria Department Store announced on the 22nd that it has renewed and reopened the directly operated select shop 'G.STREET 494' in its luxury hall.
G.494, opened in 1997 as Korea's first high-end women's select shop, has introduced a diverse collection ranging from luxury brands to trendy designer brands. In this renewal, the store has undergone significant changes from a clothing-centered shop to a diverse composition including fine jewelry, skincare, niche perfumes, and a lounge.
First, in fine jewelry, they introduced distinctive products differentiated from existing jewelry brands, such as 'E.F. Collection' based in L.A., USA, and 'Ancis Theron,' presented by a diamond appraiser and designer affiliated with GIA, one of the world's four major gemological laboratories.
They also showcase 'Noesa,' a German skincare brand exclusively operated by Galleria. Noesa is known as an ultra-premium cosmetics brand that directly delivers energy to skin cells through 'Danadem,' a patented natural ingredient similar to human skin structure.
Collaborating with the domestic perfume brand 'Villa Herbarium,' Galleria launched a niche perfume containing the unique scent of 'G.494,' and created a lounge space where customers can relax while enjoying the fragrance.
For clothing products, brands that received positive responses from existing customers and new brands aligned with trends have entered, including 'Gabriela Hearst,' a New York-based sustainable luxury fashion brand, 'The Row,' launched by Hollywood star Olsen sisters, and 'Casablanca,' a luxury streetwear brand that was a finalist for the 2020 LVMH Prize.
A Galleria Department Store official said, "G.494 has been reborn as a space that curates and introduces not only luxury brands but also emerging designer brands each season," adding, "With a diverse category-based space composition suitable for women's lifestyles, including fashion, perfume, shoes, and watches, it will attract customers' attention."
