[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] The Blue House responded on the 6th to opposition parties demanding a stance regarding suspicions that activists who opposed the introduction of the stealth fighter F-35A had been active in the presidential camp, stating that it is "not worth mentioning."
A Blue House official answered reporters' questions that day by saying, "It is a claim not worth mentioning."
Earlier, on the 5th, Kim Ki-hyun, floor leader of the People Power Party, stated at the party's supreme council meeting, "A group disguised as civic activists who engaged in treasonous espionage activities has been arrested," adding, "They carried out an anti-stealth fighter campaign under North Korea's orders, received $20,000 in funding from North Korea, met with senior ruling party lawmakers, and were revealed to have been active as special advisors in Moon Jae-in's campaign during the last presidential election."
Meanwhile, regarding reports that President Moon will discuss the Pope's visit to North Korea during the upcoming G20 summit in Rome, Italy, in October, a Blue House official said, "There is nothing to confirm" and added, "It is not appropriate for us to comment on matters related to the Pope."
