Yangcheon District Mayor Kim Soo-young Delivers Snacks to Medical Staff Working at Screening Clinics Amid Heatwave
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] On the 5th, Yangcheon District Mayor Kim Soo-young visited the temporary screening clinic at Sinwol Culture and Sports Center around 4:30 PM, near the end of the screening clinic's operation, to deliver drinks and snacks in support of the staff tirelessly responding to COVID-19.
The snacks delivered that day consisted of 200 servings, including handmade cookies baked with care by developmentally disabled individuals from the vocational rehabilitation facility for the disabled, ‘Hope Workroom (Huimang Ilgumteo)’, and refreshing coffee.
The district plans to distribute these snacks to two COVID-19 vaccination centers (Haenuri Town, Health Healing Culture Center), the screening clinic (Public Health Center), and the 1st Temporary Screening Clinic (Yangcheon District Council) as well.
Seung-ro Lee, Mayor of Seongbuk-gu (right), is packing Samgyetang with the 'Sarang Nauri Volunteer Group' in the small conference room of Seoul Seongbuk Post Office on the afternoon of the 5th. The 318 packs of Samgyetang packed that day will be delivered by courier to 92 vulnerable children’s households.

The ‘Love Sharing Volunteer Group’, composed of mail carriers from Seoul Seongbuk Post Office, took part in sharing samgyetang (ginseng chicken soup) for children in vulnerable groups.
Despite the surge in workload due to COVID-19, Seongbuk District Mayor Lee Seung-ro expressed gratitude to the mail carriers who practiced sharing for local children and participated in the volunteer activity together.
Yeongdeungpo District Mayor Chae Hyun-il Attends F&B Hero Lunchbox Donation Ceremony
Yeongdeungpo District Mayor Chae Hyun-il (second from right) received lunchbox donations from F&B Hero Co., Ltd. to support workers at screening clinics during a ceremony held in the mayor’s office on the morning of the 5th, and posed for a commemorative photo with attendees.
F&B Hero Co., Ltd. donated 120 servings of cold noodle lunchboxes to Yeongdeungpo District Office to support medical staff and workers at screening clinics who are struggling against COVID-19 amid the heatwave. The donated lunchboxes were distributed to three screening clinics in the district.
Mayor Chae Hyun-il expressed his gratitude to the representatives of F&B Hero Co., Ltd. for their meaningful donation to support the screening clinic workers exhausted by the heat, and stated that all staff will do their best in quarantine administration to overcome COVID-19 with the help of such sharing.
