[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Sancheong-gun, Gyeongnam announced on the 2nd that it will conduct safety inspections targeting sports facilities operating children's school buses.

This inspection will be carried out in cooperation with related organizations such as the Sancheong Police Station and the Korea Transportation Safety Authority to ensure children's traffic safety.

The target includes children's school buses registered or reported within the past year at sports facilities.

The main inspection items are ▲whether the children's school bus is reported ▲whether there are defects in structure or devices such as the attachment of child protection signs ▲whether comprehensive insurance is subscribed ▲whether the operator, attendant, and driver have completed safety education ▲whether records of safe operation of the children's school bus are maintained, etc.

The county plans to provide immediate guidance on issues identified during the inspection on-site, or take administrative actions such as imposing fines if necessary.

A county official said, "We will strengthen continuous management and inspections to prevent safety accidents involving children's school buses in advance."
