The '2022 College Admission Early Decision 1:1 Online Special Counseling' is designed to provide tailored admission information to students and parents in preparation for the early decision college admissions starting in September, and to support students in formulating individual early decision acceptance strategies.
The special counseling will be conducted as a non-face-to-face remote consultation using the online platform (ZOOM) on August 7th from 9 AM to 5 PM, covering four fields: humanities, natural sciences, arts, and physical education.
Eligible participants are 90 students and parents residing in Mapo-gu, and pre-registration is accepted from July 19th through the Mapo Career and Job Experience Support Center website and QR codes on promotional posters. Registration will close on a first-come, first-served basis.
Twelve teachers from the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education’s College Admission Guidance Support Team will participate in this counseling. Participating students will have 40 minutes of personalized counseling to gather information about their desired universities and departments and to design a career path suited to their aptitudes and abilities.
Meanwhile, Mapo-gu has been conducting 1:1 college admission counseling since 2018, and last year also held two online counseling sessions aligned with the schedules of early and regular admissions, providing tailored early and regular admission strategies to 125 students and parents.
Mayor Yoo Dong-gyun of Mapo-gu said, “I hope this will help alleviate the anxiety of students and parents who are experiencing a more confusing exam period than ever due to COVID-19,” and added, “We will continue to support students’ career planning with various programs and strive to help reduce private education expenses.”
