[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] Emergency patients have occurred consecutively in the island villages of Sinan-gun, Jeollanam-do, prompting the Coast Guard to conduct urgent transfers.

According to Mokpo Coast Guard on the 17th, at 11:04 a.m. on the 16th, a report was received that resident A (in his 50s) on Jangsan-do, Sinan-gun, was unable to move due to hypoglycemia symptoms, and a patrol vessel was dispatched immediately.

The Coast Guard boarded the patient and guardian at Bukgang Dock on Jangsan-do and transferred them to Bokho Dock on Anjwa-do, handing them over to the waiting 119 ambulance team at around 12:10 p.m.

With the Coast Guard's assistance, A was urgently transferred and is known to be receiving treatment at a hospital in Mokpo.

Later, at 7:29 p.m. on the same day, the Coast Guard received a report that B (female, in her 50s) was complaining of severe abdominal pain on Damul-do, Heuksan-myeon, Sinan-gun, and dispatched the coastal rescue boat from the police substation to transfer B and her guardian to Yeri Port on Heuksan-do, handing them over to Heuksan Health Center.

Meanwhile, the Mokpo Maritime Police Station has played a significant role as a sea ambulance this year through patrol vessels and helicopters, transferring 144 emergency patients occurring in island areas and at sea.
