[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Dong-hyun] Actress Cha Ji-yeon tested positive for COVID-19, leading to the cancellation of some schedules for the musical 'Gwanghwamun Yeonga' press conference and the musical 'Red Book' performances.

Cha Ji-yeon's agency, C-JeS Entertainment, announced on the 4th, "Actress Cha Ji-yeon received a positive COVID-19 test result today."

The agency stated, "Cha Ji-yeon has been following quarantine guidelines and undergoing regular weekly COVID-19 tests," adding, "We will promptly conduct tests for family members, staff, and employees who had overlapping routes or contact." They further explained, "We are currently identifying the infection route of Cha Ji-yeon and have suspended all schedules, complying with the health authorities' guidelines."

As a result, the 'Red Book' performance scheduled for the 4th, in which Cha Ji-yeon was to appear, was canceled. Additionally, the press conference for the musical 'Gwanghwamun Yeonga' scheduled for the 5th was also halted.
