[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] As the summer vacation season approaches, consumption of cultural performances is reviving. Tmon announced on the 2nd that sales in the cultural ticket sector last month increased 13 times compared to the same period last year.
In particular, children's and family performances increased 12 times, and kids park, experience, and education categories rose more than threefold. While last early summer saw a significant impact due to the rapid spread of COVID-19 causing delays in summer vacation schedules, this year’s increase is attributed to the vaccination campaign that began in May and incentives for those who completed vaccination.
Accordingly, Tmon has prepared 'Culture & Kids Week' so that the whole family can enjoy a fulfilling summer vacation. This event, held in two sessions, carefully selects popular musicals and kids performances that are often sold out, offering them at the lowest online prices, with an additional 15% discount during the event period.
First, the Tmon exclusive ticket for the musical "Shinbi Apartment Musical Season 4: Invitation to Screaming Mountain" is sold at a special price of 18,900 KRW (based on S seats). The ticket for KidZania, which holds the number one spot in kids experience sales rankings, is exclusively sold at a maximum 45% discount price of 19,900 KRW (Busan afternoon session, per child).
All of Tmon’s performance, exhibition, and experience products are operated in strict compliance with government quarantine guidelines for safety. In performance venues, measures such as seating with one seat gap between companions, frequent disinfection and sterilization of the venue, and other COVID-19 prevention activities are being thoroughly implemented.
