[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-seon] Baesangmyeon Brewery announced on the 1st that it will conduct crowdfunding for the On&Off glass, a slow village Makgeolli exclusive glass that changes color according to temperature, through the online shopping mall Auction.
The On&Off glass is a thermochromic glass that changes the color of the printed picture on the glass depending on the temperature. The outer surface of the glass features emotional illustrations representing the characteristics of spring, summer, autumn, and winter. Normally, it appears white, but when chilled Makgeolli is poured, the phrase "Now, cheers!" appears along with vivid colors in the illustration, adding fun.
Additionally, instead of the commonly known bowl-shaped Makgeolli glass, it is made in a long and narrow crystal glass form, adding a touch of luxury. It comes in a set of two and is packaged in a black box, making it perfect for gifts. The price is 22,000 won.
This On&Off glass will be sold in the form of crowdfunding through "Auction." The funding will continue until the 8th, and production will proceed upon reaching the target quantity of 900 units. The production period takes about a month, so it can be received next month.
