On the 29th, officials are threshing organic barley at Yangjaecheon in Seocho-gu, Seoul. Seocho-gu has been planting barley every year on the riverbed of Yangjaecheon to raise awareness about the importance of native barley and the value of a clean river environment. The organic barley, grown without any pesticides and only using fertilizer and compost, is expected to yield 0.5 tons.
