[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Seven Eleven announced on the 25th that its ‘Jeju Milk Parfait’ has gained great popularity by surpassing the traditional ice cream leader Melona just one day after its release.

According to Seven Eleven, Jeju Milk Parfait ranked 2nd in overall ice cream sales from the 10th to the 24th of this month. The ‘Jeju Milk Bingsu Seol,’ released at the end of May, also ranked 8th in ice cream sales just one week after its launch.

Jeju Milk Parfait is an ice cream with a parfait concept, inspired by the refreshing color of the Jeju sea. The bottom layer is a soda-flavored sherbet that delivers a cool and clean taste, while the top is completed with soft ice cream made from rich Jeju milk. Jeju Milk Bingsu Seol is a product where finely shaved milk ice containing Jeju milk is topped with red beans and condensed milk, offering a soft and clean taste.

Seven Eleven plans to expand its lineup by sequentially releasing various types of ice cream using Jeju milk, such as bars and monaka.

A Seven Eleven representative said, “Ahead of the peak ice cream season, we collaborated with premium clean milk Jeju Milk to launch dessert ice cream,” adding, “We will continue to release differentiated ice creams through collaborations with various products and brands.”
