[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Juhyung] Starting from August, COVID-19 vaccinations for the general public under the age of 40 will be implemented, and the government has decided to stagger reservations to minimize confusion.
Kim Kinam, Head of the Vaccination Planning Division at the COVID-19 Vaccination Response Task Force, stated on the 22nd in response to related inquiries, "Reservations for those under 40 will be based on appointments, but depending on the vaccine supply schedule, reservations will be received in staggered periods."
Kim also said, "We are currently conducting a preliminary review with the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety regarding the expansion of Pfizer vaccine approval to ages 12 to 15," adding, "We plan to investigate the policy's acceptability by comprehensively reviewing domestic approvals and overseas cases."
