원본보기 아이콘[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] The Suncheon Developmental Disabilities Welfare Association (President Kim Dong-ui) announced on the 16th that it has signed a mutual cooperation MOU with the Suncheonman Moringa Cooperative to support lifelong education and vocational training for people with developmental disabilities.
At the signing ceremony, Shin Chun-ho, CEO of Suncheonman Moringa Cooperative, Kim Dong-ui, President of the Developmental Disabilities Welfare Association, and Lee Mi-sook, Director of the Jeonnam Eastern Region Lifelong Education Support Center for People with Developmental Disabilities, attended.
The purpose of this agreement is to provide opportunities for people with severe developmental disabilities to participate in the production processes of the Suncheonman Moringa Cooperative by finding functions in which they can engage, thereby offering vocational education and training.
Shin Chun-ho, CEO of the Moringa Cooperative, said, “We will actively develop jobs that people with developmental disabilities can participate in and support their involvement in product manufacturing.”
Kim Dong-ui, President of the Developmental Disabilities Welfare Association, said, “Although they may be a little slow and clumsy, participating in the production process will increase their pride as members of society,” adding, “I express my respect to companies that create products filled with love and respect for people with disabilities, and I hope more such companies will emerge.”
Prior to the signing ceremony, the Suncheonman Moringa Cooperative celebrated the opening of the Jeonnam Eastern Region Lifelong Education Support Center for People with Developmental Disabilities, which will open on the 17th, and donated goods worth 5 million won to support vocational training for people with developmental disabilities and their families.
