[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chunhan] CJ Olive Young announced on the 14th that it will export its private brand to Hong Kong's leading health and beauty store, Mannings.

This entry into Hong Kong's Mannings is due to the expansion of the partnership with Dairy Farm Group, the largest retail company in Southeast Asia. Olive Young signed a business agreement with Dairy Farm Group at the end of 2019 to expand the base of K-beauty.

At that time, Olive Young took its first step into the Southeast Asian market by introducing its private brand at Singapore's leading health and beauty store, Guardian. Gaining popularity through high-quality Korean cosmetics at reasonable prices, it expanded its presence to Hong Kong within a year and a half. Mannings operates over 350 stores in Hong Kong and is the largest health and beauty store locally.

The Olive Young private brands featured at Mannings are WakeMake, BioHealbo, and Bring Green. More than 100 representative products from these three brands can be found at major Mannings stores and the official online mall.

To target Southeast Asia, Olive Young plans to gradually expand its partnership with Dairy Farm Group while strengthening the global competitiveness of its private brands to nurture them as representative K-beauty brands.

An Olive Young official said, "The expansion of this partnership is significant as it establishes a new growth foundation in Southeast Asia, which is emerging as a battleground for K-beauty," adding, "We will lead the globalization of K-beauty by expanding opportunities for local customers to experience Korean cosmetics."
