Broadcaster Kim Eo-jun's Father Passes Away... Condolences and Visits Continue from Ruling Party Figures

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Eun-byeol] Broadcaster Kim Eo-jun experienced the loss of his father on the 12th, prompting a series of condolences from ruling party figures.


On the afternoon of the 13th, about 20 condolence wreaths sent by ruling party figures arrived in front of Special Room 1 at the funeral hall of Sinchon Severance Hospital, where Kim's father's funeral was held.


Condolence wreaths were sent by Kim Kyung-soo, Governor of Gyeongnam Province, and Jin Sung-jun, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea. Wreaths bearing the names of presidential candidates such as Lee Jae-myung, Governor of Gyeonggi Province; Choi Moon-soon, Governor of Gangwon Province; Yang Seung-jo, Governor of Chungnam Province; and Kim Doo-kwan, a member of the National Assembly, also arrived. Park Young-sun, former Minister of SMEs and Startups and a candidate in the April 7 Seoul mayoral by-election, also sent a condolence wreath.


Individuals with close ties to Kim plan to pay their respects in person. On the night of the same day, Assemblyman Jeong Cheong-rae plans to visit the funeral hall along with Supreme Council member Kim Yong-min and journalist Joo Jin-woo. Assemblyman Kim Nam-guk is scheduled to pay respects on the 14th.


Kim, who hosts TBS Radio's flagship current affairs talk program 'Kim Eo-jun's News Factory' and the YouTube broadcast 'Kim Eo-jun's Dasbwoida,' lost his father the previous day.
