[Asia Economy Reporter Jeong Dong-hoon] A teenage boy was caught illegally filming inside a women's changing room at a swimming pool in Seoul.

On the 6th, the Eunpyeong Police Station in Seoul announced that they have booked and are investigating A (17) on charges of violating the Special Act on the Punishment of Sexual Crimes, including filming with a camera and trespassing in a multi-use place for sexual purposes.

A is suspected of entering the swimming pool on March 26-27 and illegally filming inside the women's changing room with his mobile phone. It is reported that A used the entrance to the women's changing room, which had no partition, to extend his hand and film the interior with his phone. Although he was not a member of the swimming pool, he attended an academy in the same building and was found to have entered the swimming pool several times.

A's crime was discovered after another member who saw him lurking near the women's changing room reported it to the swimming pool staff.

The police seized A's mobile phone and computer at his residence and, upon investigation, secured videos illegally filmed inside the changing room. Thirteen people appeared in the footage, but five victims who could be identified were confirmed. A admitted all charges during the police investigation and reportedly stated that "it was out of curiosity."
