Hyundai Construction Equipment Conducts Scholarship Sponsorship Activities to Support Local Youth Independence

[Asia Economy Reporter Suyeon Woo] Hyundai Construction Equipment will start a scholarship sponsorship program from June for high school students in six regions near the company’s location to support youth independence.

Hyundai Construction Equipment announced on the 3rd that it held a scholarship certificate presentation ceremony on the 2nd at Hansol High School located in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province.

This sponsorship project targets 10 students from six regions including Bundang, Ulsan, Yongin, Eumseong, Gunsan, and Gyeongju, and the recipients were selected based on recommendations from the respective regional education offices.

The scholarship sponsorship will be conducted based on a scholarship fund established by 25 executives, including President Gong Ki-young of Hyundai Construction Equipment, providing each student with 200,000 KRW per month for one year.

President Gong stated, "I hope this sponsorship will serve as an opportunity for local youth to dream of a bright future," and emphasized, "Hyundai Construction Equipment plans to actively consider and take action to fulfill its responsibilities as a member of the local community."

Meanwhile, in May, Hyundai Construction Equipment donated the entire proceeds of approximately 11 million KRW from waste paper collected at its Ulsan and Eumseong factories to seven local welfare facilities, and on the 8th, it visited a sister village to deliver rice cakes wishing for the longevity of the village residents, demonstrating active social contribution activities.
