[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Jiwon] Hanshin Engineering & Construction, which won the Grand Prize in the complex residential sector, is regarded as a ‘prestigious housing brand’ with 71 years of tradition and advanced technology. After rapidly growing through the development of Gangnam Sinbanpo Town in the 1970s, it briefly stalled due to the 1997 financial crisis but is currently maintaining its reputation by focusing on eco-friendly, high-quality future residential space development.
Hanshin Engineering & Construction has recently achieved success in sales in Daejeon, Ulsan, and other areas, thanks to the revitalization of the real estate market. A representative example is the residential-commercial complex ‘Hanshin The Hue Reserve’ located in Jung-gu, Daejeon. In the first priority subscription for the relevant area held last March, 4,986 applicants competed for 209 households (excluding special supply), recording an average competition rate of 23.86 to 1.
The complex consists of three buildings ranging from 5 basement floors to a maximum of 49 floors above ground, comprising 418 apartments and commercial facilities. By exclusive area, there are 127 units of 75㎡, 43 units of 76㎡, 89 units of 84㎡A, and 159 units of 84㎡B. The Seonhwa-dong area is an old downtown region with various residential infrastructures already established, and recent redevelopment projects are actively underway, making it a place where further infrastructure expansion is expected. For this reason, it is highly evaluated for its potential to develop into an emerging residential town.
‘Hanshin The Hue Reserve’ boasts an excellent educational environment. It is a school district complex with Seonhwa Elementary School and its affiliated kindergarten located within a 6-minute walk. Samsung Elementary, Hanbat Middle, Bomun Middle, Bomun High, and Daejeon Girls’ Commercial High School are also accessible within about 10 minutes. The area is equipped with a well-connected metropolitan transportation network. Within walking distance are Jungangno Station on Daejeon Subway Line 1 and a Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) stop, facilitating convenient travel to Sejong and other areas. Daejeon Station, served by KTX, SRT, and Daejeon Subway Line 1, is located about 10 minutes away by car.
The living infrastructure is also noteworthy. Large-scale neighborhood living facilities are easily accessible on the lower floors, and major commercial areas such as Costco, Homeplus, and Jungang Market are nearby. Medical facilities and public offices such as Chungnam National University Hospital, Daejeon St. Mary’s Hospital, Daejeon Jung-gu Office, and Daejeon Tax Office are also conveniently accessible.
