[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] The Gangseo branch of the Seoul Agricultural and Marine Products Corporation (President Kim Kyungho) established a technical volunteer group last year and has been continuously conducting social contribution activities targeting underprivileged groups.

In April and May recently, they carried out technical volunteer activities twice to repair homes of vulnerable households selected in consultation with the Gangseo-gu Volunteer Center.

The technical volunteer group replaced outdated LED fixtures and electrical outlets, installed fire detectors, applied heat insulation film on windows, and performed wiring molding work to ensure a safe living environment so that the selected vulnerable households can live in a comfortable environment.

Im Jaegun, head of the facility management team, stated, “We will continue home repair volunteer activities to provide a safe living environment for vulnerable groups who find it even more difficult to receive external help due to COVID-19.”

A resident of a household that received the technical volunteer service expressed gratitude, saying, “The replacement of the lighting fixtures brightened the previously dark living room, making it much more comfortable, and the electrical facilities were also repaired, so I think we can live safely.”
