[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Sumi] Regarding the suspicion that the grave site of former Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol's grandfather at a park cemetery in Sejong City was deliberately vandalized and subjected to curse-like terrorism, the police stated, "There have been no separate reports received, nor is there an ongoing investigation," and added, "The report is not true."

On the 19th, a media outlet reported that curse-like terrorism, including digging up the grave and placing human feces, kitchen knives, and talismans, occurred twice within the past month at the former Prosecutor General Yoon's grandfather's grave site, and that the police were conducting an internal investigation.

The media stated that after the police received intelligence about terrorist acts at former Prosecutor General Yoon's grandfather's grave site in Park Cemetery A in Sejong City, they were verifying the facts through cemetery officials.

Additionally, a cemetery official reportedly said, "I heard the news late and went to the grave, where I found traces of turf being torn off," and added, "We regularly patrol inside the cemetery, but we did not inspect the ground thoroughly," according to the media.

On the same day, the Sejong Police Station said regarding this matter, "Although we went to the grave site to directly check after media inquiries, we could not confirm any content linking it to terrorist acts at the scene, so the case was closed as is." They added, "The management office also said that such incidents did not occur and that there was no record of repairs."

Cemetery officials also explained that after inspecting the grave site, they confirmed that the grass on the burial mound was dry and partially damaged, but the extent of the damage was such that it could have been caused by heavy rain or branches blown by the wind, not by someone deliberately vandalizing it using tools or other means.
