Dobong-gu Receives Goods Worth Approximately 700 Million Won from Hope Sharing People

[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Dobong-gu (Mayor Dongjin Lee) held a handover ceremony on the 7th at the district office's Communication Cooperation Office to receive 18 tons of donated goods from the Hope Sharing People Association (Chairman Jeongan Kim).

The Hope Sharing People Association delivered daily necessities worth approximately 700 million KRW, including quarantine masks, children's toys, shampoo, and toothpaste, sponsored by Youngsilup, LG Household & Health Care, and Aekyung Industrial. Dobong-gu plans to distribute the received items to low-income families, children participating in Dream Start, and daycare centers within the district.

Established in 2007, the Hope Sharing People Association is a social public interest organization that practices various sharing activities for low-income groups. Since signing a business agreement with Dobong-gu in 2017, it has been actively supporting the local community and neighbors, providing daily necessities annually since 2017.

Mayor Dongjin Lee of Dobong-gu said, “I sincerely thank the Hope Sharing People Association for their annual significant support through donations, which greatly help local residents struggling and exhausted due to COVID-19. We will ensure that the donated goods are delivered to places where they are truly needed.”
