[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Urban planning is difficult. The content is complex and access is not easy. Residents who want to obtain information about urban development projects have no choice but to find district office officials divided by project departments or search the internet. From the public officials' perspective, frequent civil complaints often reduce work efficiency.

Yongsan-gu (District Mayor Seong Jang-hyun) has completed the establishment of the 'Yongsan One-Click Urban Information I-System' and started providing services to residents.

The One-Click Urban Information I-System is literally a website where you can view integrated urban planning information by land parcel with just one click. It can be accessed anytime via PC or mobile without installing any program or signing up.

The menu is divided into ▲One-Click I-Map ▲Resident Participation ▲Register Interested Development Projects ▲District Development Project Guide.

The core feature is the 'One-Click I-Map.' When you click on a specific area on the district map, you can view the lot number, project overview, implementation guidelines, regulatory information, project scale, current photos, progress status (urban planning announcement documents), and contact information of district officials all at once.

Entering the address in the search box at the top of the map yields the same results.

Additionally, current maps of district unit planning zones, redevelopment promotion districts, redevelopment/reconstruction projects, residential environment improvement project zones, etc., are overlaid on the map, allowing intuitive confirmation of project boundaries by type.

A district official said, “Not only urban planning but also floating population information by age group, real-time traffic information, distance measurement, area calculation, and road view can be used,” adding, “It can be utilized in various ways such as housing construction and market research.”

The district also created a 'Resident Participation' section in the I-System. It posts announcements about changes to urban management plans, district unit plans, redevelopment promotion plans, approval of project implementation plans, and various public hearings, and guides the procedures and forms for submitting opinions.

If you register your area of interest in advance, you can receive notification services about urban planning proposals and changes at any time.

The establishment of the Urban Information I-System is part of the district's 2021 New Deal projects. Last year, related policies were established, and system construction services continued for six months.

Seong Jang-hyun, Mayor of Yongsan-gu, said, “We gathered information related to maintenance projects and redevelopment promotion projects in one place, tailored to the characteristics of the area where various development projects are underway,” and added, “We will continue to strengthen communication with residents regarding urban planning and development.”
