[Asia Economy Reporter Jeong Hyunjin] LG Electronics announced on the 27th that it has revamped its official domestic website, including the introduction of an online brand shop that allows customers to search for products, experience them, and make purchases all in one place for the first time.

The online brand shop is a shopping mall directly operated by LG Electronics on its website, which has been running in 15 overseas countries including the United States, the United Kingdom, Russia, and India until recently.

With this revamp, LG Electronics explained that customers can receive product recommendations using integrated search. For example, when entering "TV" in the integrated search, several options such as "TV that fits your living room" and "The future of TV, the world's first rollable!" appear, and when customers select specific product specifications like TV size, they can easily find the desired product.

LG Electronics will provide maintenance services that notify customers via alert messages about software updates for the products they use and the timing for replacing consumables for products registered on the website. Upon receiving the alert message, customers can download software or search for and purchase consumables through My Page on the website. To use this service, customers need to register the products they are using on the website, and products purchased through the website are automatically registered.

Chatbots and expert consultations have also been introduced on the website. The AI-based chatbot is available anytime and anywhere, and professional consultants chat directly with customers to provide detailed explanations for any questions. Through the consultation service, customers can receive advice related to product purchases, find nearby Best Shops, and request on-site services.

Considering that more than 60% of visitors to the existing website accessed it via mobile devices, LG Electronics launched a mobile application (app). This app supports both iOS and Android-based mobile devices. Using AR (augmented reality) services, customers can virtually place products in their homes and find nearby stores exhibiting products of interest.

To widely promote the newly launched website and mobile app, LG Electronics plans to hold an opening event and offer Shinhan Card discount benefits in early next month.
