[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Three cases, including the development of a mobile government employee ID service using blockchain technology under the theme of implementing an intelligent government, were selected last month as excellent examples of the Digital New Deal.

The Ministry of Science and ICT announced on the 19th that it selected three cases from RaonSecure, SysOne, and Wisnut as the Digital New Deal excellent cases for March.

The "Digital New Deal Excellent Case of the Month" has been implemented since last year to promote the spread of achievements of the Digital New Deal policy being promoted across ministries. This year as well, cases that are evaluated as having excellent performance, high public awareness, and ripple effects among companies participating in the Digital New Deal project are selected and announced.

First, RaonSecure was selected for participating in the "Blockchain-based Mobile ID Service Construction Project," having issued a total of 1,995 mobile IDs across nine ministries to date, contributing to the transition to a digital identity authentication system. RaonSecure plans to expand mobile ID issuance to government employees in the Sejong, Seoul, Gwacheon, and Daejeon areas and will promote services for the general public in the future.

SysOne, based on its core technology for access control systems, is participating in the "Blockchain-based Mobile ID Service Construction Project" and is building a digital access system linking mobile government employee IDs with the access control system (installing 3,500 NFC devices in 21 buildings for 15,000 people). It is expected that about 200,000 government employees will use this system by June, and the scope of use is expected to expand to resident registration cards, disability registration cards, and others in the future.

Wisnut is participating in the "Artificial Intelligence (AI) Voucher Support Project," providing solutions centered on AI chatbot technology. Wisnut contributes to enhancing the quality of public administration through public chatbot services such as "Ara (Military Manpower Administration)" and "Tanzelbot (Korea Transportation Safety Authority)," which have recorded a consultation success rate of over 95%, and is expanding the domestic AI ecosystem base.

The Ministry of Science and ICT stated, "We will continue to discover and promote excellent cases in the Digital New Deal field and actively support the emergence of many outstanding achievements through the Digital New Deal policy."
