[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heeyoon] Lock&Lock announced on the 13th that it has launched the ultra-light cookware series ‘Light and Convenient One Cook’.

According to Lock&Lock, the ‘Light and Convenient One Cook’ series is a product useful for the recently increasing home-cooked meals and camping. It is available in five types including single-handle, double-handle, and hot pot pots ranging in size from 16 to 22 cm.

With an ultra-light weight of 499g (based on the 18cm double-handle pot), lighter than a 500mL milk carton, it can be used without wrist strain in any situation such as cooking, moving to the table, or washing dishes. In addition, it features high thermal conductivity that brings water to a boil within 3 minutes, allowing you to enjoy frozen or instant foods, as well as stir-fry, hot pot, and stew dishes faster than delivery food, according to Lock&Lock.

In particular, it helps beginners who are not familiar with cooking to easily prepare a meal. The interior is marked with measurement lines to accurately control the amount of water when cooking.

Furthermore, the spout is designed with a curved type so that water can be poured out easily without additional cooking tools. The lid is designed with a so-called handle safe zone to securely fix the lid and allow water to be poured out.

Lock&Lock added that it applied its proprietary hard anodizing process to this product. Hard anodizing is a special process that hardens the surface of the pot. It does not deform even with frequent cooking and washing, and is resistant to scratches and external impacts. It has also received the ROHS certification, an environmental certification from the European Union.

Son Youngjin, head of Lock&Lock’s CW (Cookware) development team, introduced the product by saying, “This product reflects the trend of increasing demand for home-cooked meals and the popularity of home meal replacements (HRM) that anyone can easily make. It is easy to carry, so it can be used not only at home but also for camping or outings, making it a highly versatile product.”

Meanwhile, to commemorate the launch of the ‘Light and Convenient One Cook’ series, Lock&Lock will hold a live broadcast on Naver Smart Store for one hour starting at 1 p.m. on the 14th. The products will be sold at a 20% discount during the broadcast.
