[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] Lotte Outlet is holding various events including up to 30% additional discounts for spring.
Lotte Outlet announced on the 7th that sales at six suburban stores (Premium Outlet Paju Branch·Icheon Branch·Giheung Branch·Gimhae Branch·Dongbusan Branch, Outlet Buyeo Branch) increased by 49% compared to the previous year from April 2 to 4. This figure is nearly double the 28% sales growth rate of these stores from January to March compared to the previous year. In particular, preferences for children's and golf apparel were high, showing strong growth rates of 65% and 60%, respectively.
To continue this momentum, Lotte Outlet is presenting various spring shopping events. At the Paju Branch, until the 18th, over 80 brands including Michael Kors, Adidas, Reebok, and Golden Dew are participating in an event offering an additional 10-30% discount on top of existing discounts. Nike and Fred Perry are selling special items at up to 70% off. At the Paju Branch, visitors can also enjoy the 'Pajuragi Dinosaur Theme Park,' which is celebrating its 2nd anniversary.
At the Giheung Branch, from the 8th to the 11th, a 'Double Shopping Week' will be held with participation from 14 brands including women's apparel brands Mojo Espin, Izat Baba, designer brands Demu, and Luciano Choi, offering an additional 5-20% discount on top of existing discounts. There is also an event where customers receive Lotte gift certificates worth 20,000, 40,000, or 70,000 KRW when purchasing over 300,000, 600,000, or 1,000,000 KRW at each single brand store.
The Icheon Branch will hold a 'Tefal Family Sale' until the 14th, and the Giheung Branch until the 21st, offering various home appliances and kitchenware at 40-70% discounts.
The Icheon Branch will also hold a 'Fila Group Sale' from the 8th to the 14th, selling popular clothing and footwear items at up to 70% off. Representative items include men's and women's home training wear for 10,000 KRW, kids' T-shirts for 15,000 KRW, sneakers priced between 15,000 and 59,000 KRW, and jackets for 39,000 KRW.
At the Buyeo Branch, from the 9th to the 15th, Dutch luxury brand Oilily's off-season products will be discounted up to 80%. Women's jumpers are sold for 79,000 KRW, and bags for 99,000 KRW.
Ho-Seol Lee, head of Lotte Department Store's Metropolitan Area Region 2 Headquarters, said, "To welcome April, we have prepared various shopping events so that consumers heading to the suburbs can visit Lotte Outlet, enjoy the outing atmosphere, and also benefit from maximum discounts." He added, "We will do our utmost to ensure thorough disinfection in all stores so that customers can shop with peace of mind."
